Program Notes
The List for jazz ensemble was arranged in the summer of 2020. The List is also the sixth track on Moonchild’s 2017 album Voyager. The List marks the second arrangement and release for the virtual big band The Sages of Future Soul and aims to capture the marvelous and beautifully layered music of Moonchild. The arrangement features three solo instruments in multiple permutations along with the bass section of the jazz band. The sixteenth notes should be swung in this arrangement and is accessible to any experience collegiate to professional jazz ensemble.
