On Broadway was written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil 
in collaboration with the team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.
The tune was made famous by guitarist George Benson on his 1978
Album Weekend in L.A.

I Got Rhythm is a piece composed by George Gershwin with lyrics by 
Ira Gershwin and published in 1930, which became a jazz standard.

Program Notes

On Broadway & I Got Rhythm was arranged for the James Madison University Marching Royal Dukes to perform as their concert tune comprised of George Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm and On Broadway, made famous by George Benson. The first recording of the MRD’s was taken at JMU’s 41st Parade of Champions on October 20th, 2018. The MRDs would later go on to perform I Got Rhythm at the 92nd Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 22nd, 2018 broadcasted nationwide for millions of fans across the world.
