Program Notes
A farewell phrase that is often said among my family members is Be Good. It’s a term that reminds us not only to try to do our very best in whatever we do, but to wish each other the greatest amount of success and happiness in the world. Inspired by the many “Frippery” by Lowell E. Shaw, Be Good is set for four horns in a layed back swing style. This tune is dedicated to my brother Matthew, a horn player and the kindest, most genuine human being I know. I hope you enjoy Be Good!
